Add images

You can add images to the plant page, or the accession page, by going to the Pictures tab on the relevant page.

From here you can add pictures of a particular plant, by following the on-screen instructions, or you can drag a picture straight onto the ADD IMAGE box. If you are using Persephone on a mobile, you can add pictures from your phone library, or take one to upload. Watch the short video at the bottom of this page to show you how to take and add pictures from your mobile phone.

Files with extension jpg, png or gif are allowed, with a size of up to 10mb. You can upload as many images as you like and reorder them via drag and drop.  If your images are larger than 10mB or you prefer to use smaller images, you can compress them first.  Two useful free sites for doing this are CompressNow and Optimizilla.

You can choose one picture to be the main image for the collection, plant, or accession by going to the three dots below the image and clicking the relevant heart icon. Collection image will appear at the top of your main collection list. The plant image will appear next to the plant on the main plant list page. Accession image will appear on the main page if you select ‘accession view’.

The edit button allows you to make the image private, add a description and any copyright.
