The xerophytic clade of Pelargonium comprises sections Hoarea, Ligularia, (s.s.) Cortusina, Polyactium, Otidia & Magnistipulacea. These are winter growing plants from the Western Cape, flowering in spring and early summer; dormant in high summer and autumn.
