Talk

National Trust Parks and Gardens

Online via Zoom Talk by David Hunt

David Hunt - National Trust Enthusiast, Amateur Photographer, Lecturer, Rambler

Several of the early houses rescued by the National Trust had significant gardens, and the Trust soon began to realise that gardens were of historic interest in their own right. In some cases they had to undertake a major restoration to bring them back to their former glory.

The talk includes a wide selection of gardens throughout England and Wales (including several local ones) and covering a long time span in their creation.

This talk will be given via Zoom.  An invitation will be sent out to all Surrey Group Members for whom we hold an email address a few days before the talk.  If you are not a Surrey Group Member, but would like to join us for the talk, it is available for free to all Plant Heritage members and a suggested donation of £4 to the Surrey Group for non-members.  Please contact us at surreyph@gmail.com for an invitation and information.
