AUTUMN PLANT SALE at Meon Orchard, Kingsmead, Nr Wickham. PO17 5AU.
A visit to Doug and Linda Smith’s garden, in conjunction with their NGS Open Day. 2 acre garden planted with a huge array of exotic plants, including three National Collections. Specialist nursery stalls and members’ plants, 20 acre meadow and ½ mile of river Meon bank. Please bring plants for sale. Members and children free, general public £6. Home made teas. Ample parking.
Directions: A32 north from Wickham for 1½ miles, turn left at Roebuck Inn, garden in ½ mile. Follow NGS yellow signs.
In addition to the Spring Plant Fair, we also run a smaller event on the first Sunday in September. This, as in previous years, will be held at Meon Orchard. In addition to being able to visit a fascinating garden, we will be organising a number of plant stalls, where specialist nurseries will be offering some of their most interesting plants. Home made teas and cakes will be served all afternoon. Open 2pm to 6pm, under the National Garden Scheme, the event is free to Plant Heritage members and children. Members of the public and members guests £6.00.
