A Guided Tour of Noar Hill

Please enquire with our Hampshire Group

Once the site of medieval chalk workings, this beautiful 20 hectare nature reserve is now carpeted with an array of beautiful chalk downland flowers every spring and summer, including several species of orchid. The vibrant flowers and the butterflies that feed on them create an oasis of colour among the surrounding fields of crops. A walk through this unusual and historic landscape is always a fascinating experience; our guide will be Mike Allen, Reserves Officer Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Finishing at the Selborne Arms for lunch.  Park in the lane near the reserve or in Selborne.  Please car share if possible.
