Annual Meeting and Guided Walk or Talk

Informal annual meeting, tea/coffee and homemade cake, guided walk or a talk (depending on the weather).

There will be an informal annual meeting at which there will be a report on the finances of the Group, the appointment and/or resignation of any committee members and discussion of any suggestions and comments by members. Tea/coffee and homemade cake will be supplied by Fiona Edmond who has recently been given National Collection Holder status for two Collections - Hamamelis cvs. and Camellia (Autumn & Winter Flowering).

This will be followed by either a guided walk to see the Hamamelis and the gardens or a talk (depending on the weather). Green Island Gardens covers 20 acres and has been designed by Fiona Edmond. Described as a Plantsman's Paradise' it is planted with a great range of unusual trees, shrubs and perennials for all year interest. The gardens have been featured in Country Living February 2019, as well as being recommended in Great British Gardens 2019 and Essex Days Out.

£10 per person payable in advance, or on the day. This includes entry, the guided walk/talk and refreshments.
