Garden visit to Hidden Valley Gardens

We are venturing over the border to visit this award-winning 3.5-acre gem of a garden nestled in a secluded valley and with its own micro-climate.

Please contact the organiser to book and for details.

Booking essential by 14th July

It has been developed over the past 20 years, as time and finances allowed, by plants-woman Tricia and husband Peter with wildlife in mind.  There are many different flower beds and borders, naturally and imaginatively planted and featuring a wide variety of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, grasses and self-seeding annuals: every plant is clearly labelled. Each bed or border has theme and whereas some showcase plant collections, such as dahlias or agapanthus, others offer stunning colour combinations. There is also a wildlife pond, a shady fernery, a productive area with fruit trees and soft fruit bushes, a potager and raised beds for those plants that crave drier conditions such as herbs and dianthus.  Plants, most of which are propagated on site, are available from the nursery.  Tricia will give us a tour of the garden. For those who want to extend their visit Duchy Nursery with its excellent café is only a 15-minute drive away.
